Where Lives Turn Around
At The Turn Church, everything we do is built on God’s Word, centered on Jesus, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Below is a simple overview of what we believe and teach in our New Membership & Baptism Class.
We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible — that all Scripture is God-breathed, fully trustworthy, and given for instruction, correction, and training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are coequal, coeternal, and operate in perfect unity.
Matthew 28:19
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, buried, and rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and today sits at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor.
John 3:16; Luke 1:35; Romans 8:34
We believe all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Repentance is commanded by God and necessary for the forgiveness of sins. Through sincere confession, we are restored into right relationship with Him.
1 John 1:9–10; Romans 6:1–4
We believe that justification, regeneration, and the new birth are accomplished through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Through this faith, we are made new creations and receive peace with God.
Titus 3:5–7; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:1–9; Romans 5:1
We believe sanctification occurs after the new birth and continues through faith in Christ’s blood, through the power of the Word, and through the work of the Holy Ghost. It is the process of becoming spiritually clean and set apart for God’s purposes.
John 3:1–9; John 15:3
We believe holiness is God’s standard of living for all His people. This involves pursuing purity of heart, obedience to God’s Word, and spiritual maturity.
Hebrews 12:14; Matthew 5:48
We believe the baptism with the Holy Ghost is an experience that comes after a clean heart. Through His presence, we receive power, conviction, and spiritual empowerment.
Psalm 24:3–4; John 16:7–8; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
We believe that speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This pattern is seen in Scripture through Paul, the disciples, the Gentile believers, and in prophetic fulfillment.
Acts 9:17–19; Acts 1:4–5; Acts 2:1–4; Acts 10:44–46; Joel 2:28; 1 Corinthians 14:26–33
We believe in water baptism by immersion for all who repent, following Christ’s command. Baptism is done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as an outward declaration of an inward change.
1 Peter 3:21–22; Matthew 28:19–20
We believe divine healing is provided for all through Christ’s atoning sacrifice. Through prayer, faith, and the power of God, believers may receive healing in accordance with His will.
Isaiah 53:5; Mark 16:16–20
We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper and the washing of the saints’ feet, following Christ’s example of humility, remembrance, and service.
1 Corinthians 11:23–34; John 13:4–9
We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, He will resurrect the righteous dead and catch away the living saints. Second, He will return to earth to reign for a thousand years.
Matthew 24:26–31; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 20:1–6
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked. Scripture affirms the judgment of saints, sinners, Satan, the Beast, the False Prophet, and the fallen angels.
Revelation 20:4–6; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 20:10; Matthew 25:41
